“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

Meditate with me

When I first tried to meditate, I struggled to sit still for 60 seconds, so I understand first-hand, the difficulty that we can experience with stillness, especially when it is new to us. This doesn’t mean that we ‘can’t’ do it, or that we are doing it wrong. I wish I had someone to support me on the initial journey, which is what I want to do for you.

Combining the learnings of my journey with the insight I gained through completing an MSc in Mindfulness-Based interventions in the School of Psychology at UCD, I hope to support and empower you to understand your mind, and the mind-body connection so that you can improve resilience, self-awareness, focus, and emotional wellbeing.

Benefits of Meditation

Overall Well-being

Practicing meditation regularly has been linked to improved overall well-being, including better physical health & immune function, improved sleep, energy and overall happiness and contentment.

Improved Relationships & Emotional Regulation

Meditation allows us to develop greater awareness of our emotions and reactions, enabling us to respond more skilfully to challenging situations and regulate emotions effectively. It helps us to cultivate empathy, compassion, interconnectedness and better communication skills, leading to more authentic and fulfilling relationships with others.

Increased Awareness

By training the mind to be present, observant, and receptive to our experiences without distraction, we can develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us allowing for greater self-awareness and emotional intelligence.

Improved Clarity & Focus

By taking time out to disconnect from external noise and pressures, meditation greatly reduces mental clutter, creating space for improved creativity and attention. This allows for greater connection with our intuition helping us to approach problems from fresh perspectives and to come into alignment with our authenticity.

Increased Gratitude

Meditation has been shown to improve gratitude by fostering a mindset of mindfulness and awareness allowing us to become more attuned to the simple pleasures and blessings in life that we may often overlook.

Greater Mind-Body connection

Through meditation, we learn to observe our thoughts and emotions with greater clarity and equanimity. This enhanced emotional awareness allows us to better recognize how emotions manifest in the body as physical sensations. This heightened interoceptive awareness fosters a deeper understanding of our physical needs and states, strengthening the mind-body connection.
